FABTECH Canada 2014

Paramount Machinery Inc.  recently exhibited at FABTECH Canada , a trade show dedicated to the metal fabrication industry. Attendance was up in comparison to the event’s inaugural launch in 2012, resulting in good traffic through the Paramount booth.

PMI’s booth

Our booth featured Paramount’s new and used equipment, and our cam software partners, Alma CAM USA, was with us in a designated demonstration kiosk.  We demonstrated a fully operational Suprema DX 510 waterjet machine from Waterjet USA to interested attendees and potential buyers.

Complex parts programmed in real time with Alma CAM

We had Luca Poggi of Alma CAM USA create part programs for the waterjet machine as part of our collaboration with the company.  Our displays came alive as he created part programs on the fly in front of a large audience.

Onlookers were impressed by our demonstrations and especially interested in one where a graphic file of a maple leaf was imported and converted to DXF in mere seconds.  It was then very quickly produced on the waterjet machine, to much appreciation by the audience.

These kinds of ongoing demos throughout the duration of the show were keen examples of the speed and effectiveness of the waterjet machine.  Customers and potential buyers were clearly impressed by the ease and efficiency by which complex part patterns can be quickly programmed and machined.

FABTECH Canada stats

The event was a huge success for us and the best exhibition for our company, to date. Total attendance for FABTECH was almost 6500, an 11%  increase over the launch event two years ago, as well as an expansion in floor space (over 74,000 square feet) and almost 300 exhibitors displaying their products.

The overall result was a high volume of sales and a lot of good, qualified leads reported by many exhibitors over the three-day show.

Next FABTECH event

Paramount Machinery Inc. will be displaying equipment and putting on demonstrations when FABTECH heads to Atlanta, Georgia, November 11-13, 2014. There’ll be an anticipated 27,000 attendees and 1400 exhibitors.

If you didn’t get a chance to see us in Toronto this spring, please come and visit us when we’re in Atlanta this coming fall.
