FabTech 2013

FabTech-2013 FABTECH CHICAGO 2013

FABTECH 2013, held in Chicago this past November, was a resounding success for Paramount Machinery. With 1500 exhibitors and an expanded attendance of high quality, motivated visitors, it was our best exhibition in recent memory and our dynamic display attracted immediate attention.

We were pleased to exhibit with our two partners, Alma CAM USA and Ellison Technologies. TCapable of bending parts up to 24” in length, the cell occupies no more space than a typical parking spot. The electric press bends quickly and accurately with ram positioning measured in microns. The robot provides consistent part production by manipulating and palletizing parts with a fixed cycle time that will not vary with breaks, absence, or fatigue, thus making it capable of outperforming a human operator shift after shift.

Robowave Software - Save Time

The RoboWave software provides the means to set up new parts in a fraction of the time previously associated with robot programming. The operator can import a CAD file (2D or 3D) and the software will unfold, create the bend sequence, select tools for the brake, and program the robot trajectories in a matter of minutes.

Automation - Improve Productivity

Small runs of 200 parts are now feasible especially if they are repeated several times a year. The Ellison integration features their RIBS concept in which the robot is fastened to a steel base plate alongside a shelving unit used for flat part storage. The robot opens the drawers progressively as it works its way through the blanks. The RIBS cell is designed to be placed in front of any hydraulic or electric press brake as a “plug and play” solution to automating an existing machine.

FABTECH CANADA 2014 - Toronto

Paramount Machinery will be displaying a similar cell at FABTECH Canada in March 2014. If you didn’t get a chance to see us in Chicago, please come and visit us when we’re in Toronto.
